OUR MISSION IN NEPAL AND INDIA
We strive to provide nourishment to the children before and after school. For the slum children of Pokhara, Nepal, this is a welcome treat. On this particular day, the treat was extra special with a banana, egg, slice of apple and peanut butter sandwich. Typically, it is a rice dish.
NUTRITION
Tej and his wife, who were both orphans, created Joint Effort for Poor Children (JEPC). They too live next to the slums and have extended their house to provide a place where children of the slums can do their homework.
TUITION HALL
Years of work with the girls in New Hope India is now paying off, with girls attending college. It is a big step to live in a "Paying Guest" house in downtown, old Delhi and commuting to school, getting their own meals then long nights and week-ends of studying!
